Let’s talk about low-T

Low testosterone is estimated to affect 30% of men over the age of 35^.

Are you one of them?

Over a 24-year study period, researchers discovered that males in the U.S. experienced a significant decrease in testosterone levels, which cannot be solely attributed to aging. Recent generations of men have been found to have lower testosterone levels compared to earlier ones, with an average 1% annual decline*.

Do I have low testosterone? Recognize the symptoms

Do I have low testosterone?

Recognize the symptoms:

Testosterone in men is an essential hormone. When testosterone levels fall, men may experience physical, psychological and metabolic effects. All of which may compromise your well-being.

It is the combination of symptoms and low hormone levels (blood tests) that may indicate you have a testosterone deficiency that is often called “low-T”.   You may notice one or more of these symptoms:

  • Low energy

  • Trouble sleeping or general fatigue

  • Low sex drive

  • Erectile dysfunction

  • Weight gain

  • Loss of body hair

  • Decreased muscle and bone mass

  • Mental fogginess

  • Depression or other changes in mood

  • Lack of motivation

TRT and cardiovascular risks

The TRAVERSE study (2023) is the largest randomized  clinical trial of testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) to date.

  • Over 5200 men ages 45-80 were enrolled in the 2-3 year study, with most having pre-existing cardiovascular disease (CVD) or risk factors for CVD.

  • It was designed to examine the effects of TRT  (testosterone gel) versus placebo on cardiovascular and  prostate health.

  • TRT did not increase the risk of major heart problems compared to a non-treatment placebo.

  • Incidences of high grade or any prostate  cancer were low, and there were no significant  differences between testosterone-treated and placebo  groups, except for increased prostate-specific antigen (PSA) concentrations in the testosterone-treated group  compared to the placebo-treated group.

  • A higher incidence of atrial fibrillation, of acute kidney injury, and of pulmonary embolism was observed in the testosterone group

Rethink Testosterone

Many conditions can mimic the symptoms of low-testosterone, therefore, if you are experiencing one or more of the symptoms above, it is important to have an in-depth medical assessment to address these concerns.  Consultation fees of $150 is required at booking.

Blood tests will be needed to determine your hormone levels and provide information about your general health.  During the consultation we will discuss a tailored medication regimen to optimize your performance, muscle growth, fat loss, endurance, and energy.  Comprehensive labs and follow-up visits are routinely performed to assess your treatment. Medication formulations available: topical, nasal, injection and oral (learn more about Kyzatrex here)

starting at $150/month
